Balaji Shankar

Balaji Shankar has a Masters Degree in Mathematics and 2 years of research experience at the Indian Institute of Science as a PhD scholar.

He has worked extensively in software development, project management and customer expectation management in countries like Singapore, Australia & France - managing and consulting for clients like the Government of Singapore, Bunnings Building Supplies Australia and Philips in France.

He quit his corporate career in 2002 and has been a successful entrepreneur, building consulting businesses for various small businesses based on open source software. He has over 18 years of experience in Linux & BSD Unix administration and various open source technologies.

He is also an organic farmer and is actively involved in the organic movement in Tamilnadu. He has been featured several times in the press and also the ISEC Documentary "Economics of Happiness".

From 2018 to now, Balaji has been making handmade soaps using organic vegetable oils and essential oils. What started as a personal hobby has now boomed into a full fledged business that is owned by Vishnu Shankar. Balaji Shankar has over 5 years hands on experience in creating handmade soap recipes, and innovating many new flavors of handmade soap.

At present Balaji is managing the SEO and digital marketing of his son Vishnu Shankar's business venture Doodle Soapery.
