GBVS Soapery - Redefining Sustainability

At GBVS Soapery, our main reason for starting this business is to ensure the healthy living of the people in this World. To achieve this, we understood that it is not only about ensuring the healthy living of this generation alone but also about ensuring the healthy living of the future generations as well. For that, sustainability is an excellent path. But the concept of sustainability mainly revolves around saving the planet or saving the Earth.

We believe that our planet needs no saving. The concept of saving the planet is not the right way to approach sustainability. The Earth existed long before humans came into existence and it will continue to exist even after the entire human species go extinct. Humans cannot survive without clean air, water, bio-diversity, healthy ecosystems, flora and fauna, and all the natural resources that are essential for us. And this isn't optional.

Sustainability provides the guidelines that is required to maintain the balance of this environment that ensures the survival of the human species. it requires conscious choices in production, consumption and lifestyle habits. It is our responsibility to leave behind a livable for the future generations. Sustainability is not a luxury or a trend, it is a survival need. Such ecoconscious actions help maintain the survival need for the humans and their future generations. At GBVS Soapery, sustainability guides everything we do, from ingredients to packaging.

Our Journey

We started our journey in this path of redefined sustainability by crafting our products through conscious selection, from our ingredients to our impact, in such a way that it ensures our belief. As a result, we began making natural handmade soaps from organic ingredients under the brand name Doodle Soap.

We have been manufacturing soaps since 2022. Intially, we had four flavours namely Bergamot, Sandal, Cedarwood and Citronella. In 2023, we added one more flavour Ylang Ylang. In 2024, we identified many flavours according to the consumer's needs and increased our flavour count to eight, and by October 2024 we had a total of fifteen flavours. But due to confusion among the customers as to which flavour to choose and which will be suitable for their skin type, our sales started getting a hit. It was at that time we realised that it was necessary for us to reduce the number of choices so that it will be easy for our customers to pick the flavour that is suitable for them. And in May 2025, we reduced the total number of flavours to six.

I founded the startup GBVS Soapery which mainly focused on manufacturing and selling organic soaps across various marketing channels. I am the creator of the brand “Doodle Soap that Liberates” and designed a unique logo, packaging, marketing slogans, and a brand identity for the same. I work across various functional departments in my business such as brand management, brand storytelling, technical aspects of soap making, pricing strategies, handling dealers, distributors and organic stores, cost-benefit analysis, supply chain management, interacting with customers at the ground level, legal requirements, and consumer insights. I established a process-driven system for running the business with proper documentation and metrics. Currently own the IP assets of this brand including four trademarks and one copyright, which have been filed and defended.
